My New Rules Of Engagement.
I have posted new engagement rules for my co-workers at Halstead, as well as my family & friends. Please adhere to them. I’d like you all to review and adhere to the following notes and rules for interacting with me moving forward.
- There will be no meetings in my dressing room. I don't have a dressing room.
2. Do not come to my dressing room unless invited. (Please see aforementioned rule #1). However, I am happy to meet you at Zabar’s Cafe. http://nymag.com/listings/restaurant/zabars-cafe/
3. Do not open my dressing room door. I work in a cubicle. A very very nice cubicle, but rules are rules. I mean it’s like the nicest cubicle you have ever seen.
4. My security team will stop everyone from standing at my cubicle who have the intent to see or speak to me.
5.I want all the ambushing to stop now. That includes TV staff. Million Dollar Broker, I’m looking at you.
6.You must schedule an appointment. It’s easy — text, email, instagram, cell. Heck, I even have a landline.
7.I have been taken advantage of by my lenient policy in the past. I interacted with unqualified buyers and lookelou’s! This ends now. Rules are rules.
8. Do not approach me while I’m in the makeup chair unless I ask to speak with you directly. Either knock or use the doorbell. OK, so I have a makeup chair. Like you don’t have some weird stuff in your office?
9 I am seeking more free time for me throughout the day. I never knew this Real Estate thing could be so …busy.
10. Do not wait in any hallway to speak to me. I hate being ambushed. Please make an appointment. (There are like 10 hallways at Halstead, so no funny stuff)
11.I promise you I will not entertain you in the hallway, and do not attempt to walk with me. I know I was big on the “walk and talk/Aaron Sorkin thing at Slacker & Warner Bros. Well, as George Harrison sang — all things must pass.”
12. If you’re reading this, yes, I mean you. Even you, Hallie — and you’re not on Facebook.
13. Everyone, do not take offense to the new way of doing business. It is for the good of my personal life and enjoyment.
Thank you all,
Jack Isquith
